Welcome to FarmingPages.com In 2006 more than 65% of farmers under the age of 45 used the internet on a daily basis in order to carry out work related activities. 72% of these internet users stated that they use the internet to source information about agricultural products and services prior to purchasing them. Having worked in both agriculture and computing we recognized that farmers are not aware of the products and services that are readily available to them. Products and services that could make their farming practices more manageable, more productive and less stressful. Even though there are various individual supplier websites available, these are not search-engine friendly and, as such, are very difficult for the user to find. Our goal is to provide a much-needed service to farmers by centralizing all of these websites in a user-friendly format on FarmingPages.com. FarmingPages.com also gives smaller businesses (that may offer quality products and services, but lack the financial clout of large agri-businesses) the opportunity to market their products and services both nationally and internationally; all at a low cost. Using discussion groups throughout Ireland and the UK, we built FarmingPages.com around the suggestions of farmers working in a wide range of agricultural related activities. Farmingpages.com was recently selected, as one of a select group of highly-innovative businesses, to join the Genesis Enterprise Programme, administered by Enterprise Ireland and third level institutes. This provided the opportunity to work closely with a number of Universities and Institutes of Technology throughout Ireland in order to develop an easy-to-use yet comprehensive tool for the modern Irish farmer. FarmingPages.com trades as The Farming Pages Ltd. and our head office is located at the Rubicon Centre on the Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) Business Centre. Our Cork City offices are located at Penrose Wharf. The Farming Pages strive to promote Irish and UK agricultural machinery manufacturers, animal feed producers, and veterinary product manufacturers to both the Irish and International farming communities. |
