The MAGB (Maltsters’ Association of Great Britain) is running a competition to highlight the very best in malting barley. The MAGB is looking for growers producing an exemplary crop with the focus on harvesting, storage and marketing. Its purpose is to encourage professional cereal growers to grow more malting barley and to develop long-term supply chain relationships. Two winners will receive a cash prize of £200, an invitation to the annual MAGB luncheon in November and opportunities to visit local breweries or distilleries as appropriate. The two runners up will receive a cash prize of £100. Entries must be in be June 18.
