Nutrient Management Plan Success

The nutrient management plan which was launched in March 2009 has been a huge success, with more than 13,500 of the plans now distributed. However to help get the message to even more farmers the cross-industry Tried & Tested team have produced tear-off pads of the popular farm and field record sheets. The record sheets were tested at the Dairy Event and Livestock Show and received great feedback from farmers. The sheets bulk production now means that hard records can be easily created, allowing farmers to simply review and continually improve their nutrient use efficiencies according to Defra Fertiliser Manual (RB209) and the NVZ guidance leaflets for farmers.
